In this blog, I will discuss some of the evidence I developed during this year for my English class as part of my studies in Software Analysis and Development. I want to highlight the following tasks because I believe they were particularly relevant and meaningful to me.

1.      Video Interview Simulation GA2-240202501-AA1-EV02: For this assignment, I coordinated with my partner Alejandro to practice a mock interview. We had to reflect on our experiences and skills to present ourselves as strong candidates for a job. We also took turns acting as interviewers, asking questions to gather more information and assess whether the other person would be a suitable candidate. This exercise was incredibly valuable for preparing us to handle real-life interviews effectively.

2.      Evidence GA2-240202501-AA1-EV03: Professional and Life Project: This task was significant as it required me to reflect on my past accomplishments and set clear goals for the future, specifically over the next three to five years. I had to articulate my objectives using the STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) framework, which helped me plan achievable steps toward my long-term aspirations.

3.      Mind Map GA4-240202501-AA1-EV02: This task allowed me to summarize the activities and tools I have used in recent years to improve both my English proficiency and technical knowledge in software analysis and development.

4.      The Importance of Critical Thinking and Media Literacy: Critical thinking and media literacy are essential skills in both academic and professional environments. Critical thinking allows individuals to analyze situations, make informed decisions, and solve problems effectively. It promotes a deeper understanding of issues, encouraging us to question assumptions and explore different perspectives. Media literacy, on the other hand, equips us with the ability to critically evaluate information sources, distinguishing between reliable and misleading content. I think it is important in Colombia to allow people making well-informed decisions, challenging misinformation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

5.      Crime and Punishment" by Fyodor Dostoevsky  allows to recognize and address ethical dilemmas, power dynamics, and the consequences of our actions on others, and understand the root causes of social problems and work towards solutions that are empathetic, just, and rooted in a deep understanding of human nature. These lessons are valuable for addressing conflicts in the workplace and broader societal issues, guiding us toward more ethical and compassionate approaches to problem-solving.
